Emergency responders rescued a man who fell into the Puget Sound off Pier 62 late this evening.
At approximately 10:08 p.m. officers and firefighters responded to Pier 62 on the waterfront for a man who reportedly fell into the Puget Sound and was under the dock. Bystanders threw the man a life preserver but were unable to pull him out of the water. Upon arrival emergency crews threw the man a rope and pulled him out of the water.
Fire department medics transported the man to a nearby fire station. From there the man was transported to Harborview Medical Center for follow up evalution and treatment.
