Two Suspects Caught in Pioneer Square Burglary

Two men were arrested early this morning following a burglary call to a Pioneer Square business.

Officers responded to a burglary call to a business near Yesler and Western just after 2:00 this morning.  As the officers were responding, witnesses were telling the 911 operator that they heard glass breaking and saw two men leaving the area carrying large bags.

Officers arrived quickly and located two possible suspects at 1st Avenue and South Jackson Street.  One man was carrying a large bag with a sports jacket stuffed inside.  Three other athletic gear bags were located in the alley next to where the suspects were stopped.  Witnesses positively identified the suspects as the burglars seen breaking the store window and entering the business.  The two men, ages 56 and 57, were arrested and later booked into the King County Jail.  Burglary detectives will follow up on this case.
