A parking enforcement officer spotted an occupied stolen vehicle in North Seattle. Tonight, just shortly before 8:00 p.m., a parking enforcement officer on-viewed an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of 17 AV NE and NE 52 St. The suspect vehicle left the area when they realized they had been spotted.
A patrol unit reacquired the vehicle at Ravenna and NE 55, turning east. The patrol unit attempted to stop the stolen vehicle in the 2300 block of NE 55. The vehicle accelerated refusing to stop. Officers turned off emergency equipment.
The suspect vehicle continued to flee at a high rate of speed after patrol discontinued. The suspect turned right onto southbound 25 AV NE colliding head on into a northbound victim vehicle and 3 parked vehicles.
The suspects continued southbound on 25th striking a street sign and a tree in the 4300 block. The suspects, an adult white male driver and adult female passenger fled on foot. A K-9 unit responded and conducted a track but the suspects were not located.
The victims were transported to HMC with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect vehicle was recovered and taken to the processing room.
