Suspects put a gun to the victim’s head and demanded his property. This morning just shortly after 2:00 a.m., the victim called 911 to report an armed carjacking at 2nd Ave and Battery St. The victim reported he was getting into his blue 2008 Audi A3 when he was approached from behind by four males in their teens to early twenties.
One placed a handgun to the back of the victim’s head and demanded his wallet, cash, and car keys. The suspects went through the victim’s pocket taking his keys and wallet. The victim tried to flee but the suspects grabbed him, ripping his shirt partially off in the process.
The suspects fled the scene in a silver minivan and the victim’s vehicle eastbound on Battery St and then northbound on possibly 4 or 5th Ave. The suspects were unknown to the victim. The victim was not injured.
The suspects are described as black males.
