Nine parked cars and two business windows in the Pike Pine corridor met the business end of a red, five foot long metal bar around 7:30 on Sunday night – courtesy of a 44-year old Seattle man. Not satisfied with the more than $5,000 worth of damage he caused, the man set his sights on a coffee shop sign but fell short when intervening West Precinct officers brought his rampage to an end.

As of today, the man remains in the King County Jail. Detectives are working the case and seeking felony malicious mischief charges.
The good news: there is one less red, five foot long metal bar on the streets. The one the suspect used is being safely stored in evidence.
