Officers responded to a stabbing with a chaotic scene and numerous uncooperative witnesses. On 9/6/13, just shortly before 8:00 p.m., West Precinct Patrol officers responded to a call of a possible shooting or stabbing at 2 Av and Pine St. Officers located the victim and determined that he had been stabbed multiple times.
The initial prognosis by Seattle Fire personnel was that the victim might not survive his wounds.
On duty Homicide Detectives responded to begin the investigation. The victim was taken to HMC where he was stabilized. The witnesses to the stabbing are suspected gang members. Gang Unit detectives responded and took over the investigation from Homicide.
CSI Detectives also responded and processed the crime scene. During this time a female witness approached a Tukwila Police officer at the Light Rail station near the airport. She pointed out two suspects and told Tukwila police that they had been involved in a stabbing in Seattle.
Tukwila officers detained the two suspects and Gang Unit Detectives responded to that location to interview them. Their investigation developed enough probable cause to arrest the 21-year-old suspect. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of assault.
The investigation continues.
