Woman robbed of her wallet and cellphone at South Seattle bus stop

This morning, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the female victim was sitting at the bus stop at M.L. King JR Way Way S. and S. Othello, while waiting to catch the southbound bus.

The victim was looking into her wallet for bus tokens.  Her cellular phone was in the other hand.  The unknown suspect forcibly grabbed the woman’s wallet and cellular phone just as the Metro bus (route 36) arrived.  The suspect boarded the bus.  The victim yelled at the driver but the Metro bus closed the doors and drove off South.

The victim was delayed by over 45 minutes in calling 911.  An area check and continued police presence was done.

The suspect is described as a black male,  5’11,  slim build, 30-50 years of age.
