Officers continue to search for suspects in a shooting that left a man fighting for his life.
On September 15th at approximately 9:43 p.m. officers responded to the 3100 block of Airport Way South for the report of shots fired and a man shot multiple times. Officers arrived on scene at the old Rainier Brewery, a very large building that is apparently a multi-use building with private apartments inside. Officers made entry and on the 6th floor officers located an adult male victim who had been shot several times. The suspect(s) were at large, and the only information officers were able to obtain was that the suspect(s) were on foot, and that there may have been a single white male suspect or possibly a suspect team, with the second suspect being a white female.
Fire department medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Patrol, canine and SWAT officers, as well as Homicide and CSI detectives all responded to the scene. The search for suspects and any additional victims is on-going. It is unknown at this time the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
This remains an active and on-going investigation.
