Assault, Non-Life Threatening Stabbing Last Night

A 30-year man reported that he was stabbed just after midnight while standing outside of a market in the 1700 Block of Bellevue Avenue.  The injury, a single stab wound under his right arm pit, was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire and not considered to be life-threatening.   The victim was later transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Witnesses reported seeing the victim standing outside of the City Market, holding a 2 foot long piece of two by four, in a verbal argument with another man.  Shortly after, the victim entered the market saying he had been stabbed.  The suspect, described as an Asian or Hispanic male, approximately 5’08”, thin build, wearing a baseball cap and black leather jacket, was last seen headed eastbound on East Howell.

Officers conducted an area search but did not locate the suspect.  The victim would not provide much information about the assault to the officers at the scene.
