Harbor Officers Rescue Three People After Boat Overturns

A quick response by Seattle Police Harbor officers, along with help from some good citizens, makes for a happy ending.

On September 17th at approximately 7:00 p.m. Harbor officers responded to the area of south Lake Union for the report of a 14-foot boat that had overturned with the occupants in the water.  Harbor officers, along with the assistance of citizens from two fishing boats, located and rescued three people from the water.  The overturned boat was turned right-side-up and everyone on board was quickly accounted for.

There were no injuries and no one involved in the incident required medical attention.
