Officers responded to the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and Seward Park Avenue South for several calls of shots fired just after 8:00 pm last night.
Officers arrived and located shell casings in the street and discovered that an unoccupied parked car had been damaged when it was struck by a bullet. No victims from the shooting were located, however, one person inside a business did sustain an injury while diving to the floor when the shots were heard. That individual was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire and transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Officers conducted a thorough area check but did not locate any victims or witnesses to the actual shooting. Officers collected the shell casings for evidence.
