Bank Robber Doesn’t Get Far After Capitol Hill Hold-Up

A robbery suspect didn’t make it far after holding up a Capitol Hill bank Wednesday morning.

Just before 10:45 AM, the suspect, believed to be in his 60s, walked into a bank at Broadway and Thomas, passed a demand note to a teller, and walked out of the bank.

Officers arrived on scene, made sure everyone inside the bank was okay, and began searching for the suspect.

Officers didn’t have to hunt for the man for long, as one officer spotted the suspect at Broadway and E. Olive—just one block from the bank—and arrested him.
