A man suspected of shooting a victim in the leg last week during a robbery attempt was arrested yesterday afternoon in Renton with the assistance of the Renton Police Department.
Robbery detectives had developed information on the suspect. Yesterday, Gang detectives followed up and located the suspect at a residence in the city of Renton. He was arrested as he was leaving the house in a car. During the arrest, a handgun was seen underneath the front passenger seat where the suspect was sitting. The car was impounded pending a search warrant. The 20-year-old suspect was brought back to Seattle where he was interviewed by robbery detectives. Following the interview, he was booked into the King County Jail for the robbery and an assault warrant. Robbery detectives will continue to follow up on this case.
