Woman Assaulted & Beat On The Face With A Rock

Officers located and arrested a man and a woman who assaulted another woman and beat her on the face with a rock.

On April 12th at approximately 5:53 a.m. officers responded to a report of an assault near Airport Way South and South Snoqualmie Street.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the two victims (a man and a woman) were in their tent and thought that a friend of theirs was walking by. The victims jokingly yelled out (at the two suspects) to be quiet. The male suspect confronted the 29-year-old male victim and subsequently tackled him and punched him in the face with a closed fist. The male victim returned to the tent and told the female victim what occurred. The 32-year-old female victim decided to try to resolve the misunderstanding by talking to the two suspects.

The two suspects, a 32-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, charged at the female victim. The victim pepper sprayed the female suspect.

The male suspect then tackled the female victim and struck her on the face with a rock at least twice. The female suspect assisted in the assault. The suspects then left northbound on Airport Way South.

Responding officers conducted an area search and located both suspects in the 1900 block of Airport Way South. The victims were brought over and positively identified both suspects.

The suspects were arrested and booked into the King County Jail for Felony Assault.

Fire department medics responded to the scene to treat the victims.

The female victim suffered a chipped tooth, cuts, scrapes, a bloodied face and significant swelling around both of her eyes.

The male victim had swelling and abrasions on his face.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.
