A juvenile male sits in jail after stealing a cell phone during a robbery in a West Seattle park last night.
On April 18th at approximately 11:05 p.m. officers responded to 911 calls of a fight disturbance in Lincoln Park located in the 8000 block of Fauntleroy Way SW. Upon arrival officers contacted a juvenile male victim who reported that his cell phone was taken by a 16-year-old black male suspect. Officers conducted an area check and observed a group of juveniles boarding a Metro bus just south of the park. The bus was stopped at SW Wildwood Street and SW Brace Point Drive. The victim was transported to this location and positively identified the suspect (in the group of juveniles) as the person that had stolen his cell phone.
Officers recovered the victim’s cell phone and the suspect was subsequently booked into the Youth Service Center (juvenile jail) for Investigation of Robbery.
