Motel Employee Dragged Down Aurora After Confronting Driver of Suspicious Car

A motel employee was dragged down Aurora early Saturday morning after confronting the driver of a suspicious car.

Around 3:30 AM, the victim saw a suspicious-looking dark sedan pull up in front of the motel in the 11700 block of Aurora Avenue North.

The employee had previously seen the vehicle on motel’s property and was worried it might be drawing illegal activity to the area.

When the employee approached the vehicle and leaned in toward the driver’s open window, the driver punched him in the face. The employee grabbed onto the driver, who sped up and began driving north on Aurora Avenue. The driver dragged the employee for about 50 feet before the man fell into the road.

The man’s wife called 911 and police and medics responded to the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to Northwest Hospital for treatment. Officers searched the area for the driver, but weren’t able to find him or the vehicle.
