Officers collected over (50) casings following reports of shots fired in a South Seattle neighborhood. On 5-15-14, just shortly after 11:00 p.m., there were multiple reports of shots fired in the 9400 block of Rainier Ave South. A witness stated that he saw a black 4-door, possibly a toyota camry come to a slow roll and begin to fire shots into a business in the 9400 block of Rainier av S. The witness said he heard 25 shots being fired from the vehicle by a high powered rifle.
Officers arrived to find extensive damage to 5 businesses and 5 vehicles. The casings littered the street from the 9300 block to the 9500 block. There were no reports of injuries. Two evidence technicians from the South West Precinct responded to assist in processing the scene.
Unknown amount of damage to 5 businesses and 5 vehicles. Officers collected (39) rifle casings and (14) handgun casings. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 9-1-1.
