Overnight Hit and Run Downtown

A woman was in the crosswalk at Virginia St. and 2 Ave. on Friday around 11:30 p.m when she was hit by a car.

A tan Honda Accord was travelling east along Virginia St when it struck the pedestrian. The car stopped for a second, then continued eastbound without stopping to provide information or render aid to the pedestrian.

Seattle Fire Department Medics responded and treated the 60-year-old woman for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Medics transported her to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for multiple broken bones.

After searching the surrounding area, Southwest Precinct patrol officers went to the registered owners address. Officers found the vehicle parked and unoccupied a short distance from the residence. They impounded the car for traffic collision investigators.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call 911 and speak with an officer.
