A man in his 30’s was shot and killed late last night after he aimed a gun at officers. On 7/1/14, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Washington State Patrol Troopers (WSP) was involved in a pursuit of a white pickup truck Northbound, near the Pierce/King County line.
The vehicle-occupied by an adult man and adult woman travelled northbound into Seattle. The vehicle crashed near Swift Ave and S. Eddy St. The female remained in the car and was later transported to Harborview Medical Center for injuries she sustained from the car crash.
The male passenger jumped out of the pick up truck and ran a couple blocks and hid inside a storage shed.
A Seattle Police k-9 was called to the scene to assist with the search of the suspect. The k-9 officer and a cover officer began searching the area when they came upon the suspect hiding in a yard- inside a storage shed.
The suspect appeared from the shed and pointed a gun at the officers.
The cover officer fired multiple times, striking the suspect. The suspect died at the scene.
The Force Investigations team , Homicide and CSI responded and processed the scene.
