Seattle police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a thirteen-year-old girl at Bitter Lake Friday afternoon.
As the girl was listening to music at the park, a man called out her name. The girl thought she knew the man and walked up to him.
The suspect then grabbed the girl and dragged her to a secluded area near the water and sexually assaulted her.
The victim was able to escape and fled to the Bitter Lake Community Center. The suspect was last seen leaving the park along Bitter Pl. North.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for evaluation.
The suspect is described as a white man, 40 years old with a heavy build.
Sexual Assault Detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.
