A man arrested after robbing a Northgate convenience store Friday probably would’ve had a more lucrative evening if he’d just stayed home and gone through his couch cushions.
The suspect walked into the store in the 10700 block of 5 Ave. N.E. just after 7 PM with shirt pulled over his face, and flashed a knife at the store’s owner.
When the suspect demanded money, the store owner gave him change from the register.
The suspect demanded the cash from the register as well, but was interrupted when other customers entered the store.
The suspect became scared and fled on foot only to be chased down and subdued by two witnesses, who held the suspect until North Precinct Officers arrived.
Officers took the suspect into custody and booked him into King County Jail for investigation of robbery.
