Seattle police arrested a woman in Occidental Park Friday afternoon after she armed herself with a bottle of Tabasco and attacked a second woman on a Pioneer Square street.
The victim, a woman in her 50s, was sitting outside a crisis resource facility near Yesler Way and 2nd Avenue Ext. S. just after 4:30 PM when another woman approached her from behind and struck her in the head with a bottle of Tabasco. Police believe the suspect and the victim both know one another.
The suspect fled to nearby Occidental Park, where police quickly found and arrested her.
After officers took the suspect into custody, she began hitting her head on a patrol car and the street and had to be taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment for minor injuries.
The victim refused treatment at the scene.
