SWAT officers arrested a man after a six-hour standoff early this morning after he attacked his family and barricaded himself inside his Beacon Hill home.
Officers were called to a home near 20th Ave South and South Lucile Street around 6:30 PM, after the suspect attacked his sister with a boat paddle.
When police arrived at the home and attempted to contact the suspect, he barricaded himself inside and refused to respond to officers and a police negotiator.
Negotiators worked for several hours to get the man to come out of the home and surrender, but after approximately six hours, SWAT officers served a warrant on the home around 12:30 AM and took the man into custody.
Police later booked the man into the King County Jail on Investigation of Domestic Violence Assault.
