A 64-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint at a Rainier View Metro bus stop Sunday afternoon.
The 64-year-old victim was waiting for a bus around 5 p.m. in the 11800 block of Beacon Avenue South when a man came up behind her and shoved a small, silver handgun into her side. He ordered her to the ground, took $200 out of her purse and ran away.
Detectives are searching for the suspect, described as a black man in his twenties, 5-foot-9, 200 pounds, with short black hair. The suspect was wearing a black and grey checkered polo shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call 911 and speak with officers.
