Three teenagers stole a man’s car at gunpoint Tuesday night in the Central District.
The victim reported he was unlocking his car in the 1400 block of South Main Street about 8:45 PM when three male teens wearing black, hooded sweatshirts approached him. One of the suspects pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him and demanded his keys. A second suspect may also have had a gun.
The victim handed over his keys and fled to his nearby home. The suspects stole his silver Toyota Camry. The victim’s wallet was in the car.
Officers searched the area, but weren’t able to find the suspects. Robbery detectives are investigating the incident.
