Overnight Mount Baker Gun Battle Leaves Cars Damaged

Detectives are investigating an overnight shooting that left multiple cars damaged and two cars abandoned in the Mount Baker neighborhood.

Officers began receiving multiple calls of shots fired at 10:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of 26th Ave. South.  When they arrived, they found a car crashed into a fence and another one in the street, both with bullet holes. Officers didn’t see anyone in the vehicles or the surrounding area.

A witness said the occupants of both cars were firing at each other, as well as, a third car that drove away.  Officers were able to find many other cars in the area that were struck by gun fire, but still have not found any human victims.

Officers found three people that may be involved, but witnesses couldn’t verify if they were the suspects.

Both cars were impounded and will be processed for evidence.  Detectives are asking anyone with information in the is case to call (206) 625-5011 and speak with officers.
