Detectives are investigating after a man was found stabbed downtown early Tuesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to investigate a fight at 4 Ave. and Pine St. just after 1:30 a.m. Officers arrived and found a man stabbed on the sidewalk and a car parked precariously in the middle of Pine St.
Witnesses say that a group of people jumped out of the vehicle and started a fight with a group on the sidewalk. Witnesses say at some point a person pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. It remains unclear which group the suspect and victim were parts of.
Medics performed CPR on the victim at the scene before rushing him to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Homicide Assault detectives as well as Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and are collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses. They are also reviewing surveillance video in the search for clues to clarify the events surrounding this assault.
