Police Recover Two Guns and 16 Grams of Cocaine While Pursuing Their Man

Detectives recovered two guns and cocaine as they arrested a man for his role in a double shooting in 2013.

On September 17th gang detectives recognized a man with a felony warrant driving in the Columbia City neighborhood. The felony warrant stemmed from 2013 shooting which wounded two men.

Detectives attempted to catch up to the man, but only located the abandoned car nearby. The vehicle was impounded and after a search warrant was served, a .38 caliber handgun was recovered.

Then on October 2nd detectives again spotted the man driving, this time near Rainier Ave South and South McClellan Street. The suspect again ditched his car, but detectives pursued and arrested the man.

A witness pointed out where the suspect had thrown a gun while being chased by officers. Detectives recovered the gun and found the semi-automatic pistol to have been stolen. Detectives also found 16.3 grams of cocaine on the man.

The 25-year-old suspect was booked into King County Jail on the felony warrant, drug possession, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
