Seattle Police have arrested two 15-year-old boys believed responsible for a rash of car thefts at dealerships in the Lake City area.
Police got a break in the case when they detained three teen-age boys found lurking at a dealership on a Sunday afternoon two weeks ago. One of the boys was arrested and later confessed to the theft of around a dozen vehicles from area dealerships.
A few days later, on Oct. 19, officers arrested a second teen-ager involved in burglary at a dealership on Lake City Way Northeast. Detectives also tied him to the dramatic theft of a $80,000 Camaro stolen from a dealership in the 11300 block of Lake City Way earlier this month. The teen confessed to stealing that car and others.
The suspects were released to their parents after their arrests. Both teen-agers face several felony charges and possible juvenile incarceration. Police are still investigating the crimes.
