Police arrested two men Sunday who threatened to shoot a group of people in a Capitol Hill parking garage.
Three friends were entering a parking lot stairwell in the 1400 block of Harvard about 1:55 AM when two men in their early 20s approached, began yelling and tried to start a fight. Both of the suspects threatened to shoot them and one displayed a handgun tucked into his waistband.
The victims fled and reported the incident to two nearby police officers on foot patrol. The officers returned to the stairwell and found the suspects still there. The victims confirmed officers had the correct suspects.
Police arrested the pair and found a .380 semi-automatic pistol on one of the suspects. He was booked into King County Jail for a firearms charge and the second suspect was booked on harassment charges.
