Police arrested three men Sunday who broke into a West Seattle home and stole a diamond ring, while the owner hid in a closet.
The victim told police she heard voices outside the front door of her home in the 6000 block of 26th Avenue Southwest around noon and could partially see people through her blinds. After hiding in a closet, she heard glass breaking and people moving around in her house. The woman called 911 to report the burglary.
Officers arrived to see two men running out the front gate to the home and a third suspect, who acted as a lookout during the burglary, still on the stairs. Police were able to capture all three men.
One of them dropped a diamond ring just before he was detained. The victim later identified it as her ring. She also identified two small containers of marijuana the suspects stole. All three men were booked into King County Jail.
