A woman died Sunday afternoon after she lost control of her car while going around a curve and crashed into some large concrete pipes.
The woman was driving north in the 8200 block of 5th Avenue South when the collision happened. No one else was in the car and there were no other injuries.
Medics treated her at the scene. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where she died from her injuries. Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives collected evidence at the crash site. Officers aren’t sure yet why the collision occurred. It remains under investigation.
