Police arrested four teenage girls Tuesday afternoon after they beat up and robbed two women in the Dunlap neighborhood.
The women told police they were walking on the Mapes Creek Walkway, near 52 Avenue South, at 5:20 PM when four teens approached. A teen asked one of the women for a dollar and when the victim said she didn’t have any money, the suspects attacked her.
The woman’s friend tried to intervene, and the teens attacked her as well. The suspects took the victims’ cell phones and a backpack. Both victims suffered facial injuries. Police tracked the teens down at a nearby library, where the victims identified them. All four suspects were booked into the Youth Services Center.
