Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg Tuesday night during an attempted robbery on Beacon Hill.
Around 9:20 PM officers were called to a shooting near Beacon Ave S. and S. Warsaw Ave. Police arrived and found one man with a gunshot wound to his leg. Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the victim, he was walking in the area of Beacon Ave S. and S. Warsaw Ave when he was approached by several men and told he was being robbed. The victim was shot once in the leg during this botched robbery, prompting the suspects to run from the scene and flee in a car.
Officers located the suspect vehicle stopped in a parking lot at S. Graham Street and Martin Luther King Jr Way S. A witness positively identified the car and the four suspects located inside the car.
Robbery detectives will be interviewing the suspects and later booking them into King Count Jail on investigation of robbery.
