Mayor Ed Murray, Seattle Police Department and City Attorney Pete Holmes have asked the state liquor board to suspend a University District nightclub’s license after three people were wounded in a gunfight as the club closed last weekend.
The troubled Fusion Ultra Lounge has frequently been the site of brawls, shootings and other violence, drawing significant police resources on already-busy weekend nights.
Today, SPD North Precinct Captain Dave Emerick’s sent a letter to the Washington State Liquor Control Board—outlining problems with gangs and drugs at Fusion—accompanied by a letter from the city attorney’s office, listing recent violent incidents at the club. The letters can be downloaded here (PDF) and here (PDF).
