A Seattle police officer was patrolling the Brighton neighborhood early Friday when she ran the license plate number of a car in front of her and discovered it was stolen.
Police pulled the car over and arrested two men shortly after 4 AM. Officers found a small amount of suspected meth in the stolen car, as well as a shaved key in the ignition.
They also determined the license plates on the car belonged to a different stolen vehicle. Several additional plates were found hidden in the trunk.
Detectives from the Major Crime Task Force interviewed and booked the 23 and 32-year-old men into King County Jail on investigation of auto theft and drug possession.
