We are posting the below Vancouver (BC) Police Department news release since there is a possibility that Daniel Paul has crossed into Washington State.

The Vancouver Police Board is announcing a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of Daniel Alphonse Paul in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, Rose Paul.

On March 3rd, the body of the 36-year-old mother of five daughters was found in the basement suite of a home on East 22nd Avenue near Main Street. Forty-two year-old Daniel Alphonse Paul has been identified as the primary suspect in the case.

“Daniel Paul remains on the run after numerous pleas by the police to have him turn himself in,” says VPD spokesperson Sergeant Randy Fincham. “Daniel is to be considered dangerous and anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked not to approach him and call 9-1-1.”

Daniel Paul is Aboriginal, 5’8″ tall, with a medium build, brown eyes and short black hair. On his left arm, he has tattoos of an eagle, a rat, a knife, a skull and a buffalo. On his right arm, he has tattoos of a skull with a rose and a heart.

Candace Paul says her sister Rosie was beautiful, outgoing, very loving and the mother of five girls, aged 8 to 19. “She helped all the young girls with the struggles of life.”

“This man is very dangerous,” says Howard Paul, Rose’s uncle. “He needs to be taken off the streets before he hurts or kills another woman. Rosie loved and trusted this man. He was supposed to protect her, but instead he took her life.”

“Only two people know what happened that day and Rosie can’t tell us. Daniel has answers to our questions and we want to know what happened.”

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Daniel Paul is asked to call 9-1-1 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
