Police captured a burglar early Wednesday after receiving a report of a break-in at a Georgetown furniture store.
Around 4:30 AM, a burglar tripped a surveillance system inside the store in the 6500 block of 5th Place South. The system alerted the store’s owner, who pulled up a live surveillance camera feed from home outside Seattle. When she saw several burglars prowling around inside her business, she called 911.
Officers arrived and surrounded the building, and ordered the suspects to come outside.
A 41-year-old woman eventually exited the store, and police later discovered two other suspected burglars had slipped away before officers arrived.
Police plan to book the 41-year-old woman into King County Jail on investigation of burglary after she is released from the hospital for a medical issue, unrelated to her arrest.
SPD detectives are now searching for the two other burglary suspects.
