UPDATE: Suspect Crashes Car Taken In Aurora Ave Carjacking

Update 4/9: Shoreline police helped Seattle officers track down a man spotted driving the victim’s stolen car Wednesday on Aurora.

Seattle police saw the stolen 2002 Dodge Interpid heading northbound at N/ 125th Street and Aurora  Avenue around 1:30 PM and followed the suspect up to 170th, where they lost sight of him as he began to weave through traffic.

Shoreline Police found the suspect and followed after him until he crashed near 217th Place SE and Bothell-Everett Highway. Seattle police arrived at the scene and took the 26-year-old driver into custody.

Officers booked the man into the King County Jail for eluding and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Dtectives are still investigating the carjacking and the 26-year-old man’s connection to the robbery.


 

Officers are searching for three suspects who stole a man’s car at a Northgate gas station early this morning.

The victim told police three men flagged him down as he pulled into at a gas station near Aurora Ave North and Northgate Way shortly before 8 AM.

As the victim got out of his car, two of the men charged at him, and implied they were carrying weapons. The victim stepped away from his car, and two of the suspects climbed inside it and sped away. The third suspect left the scene in another silver vehicle.

Robbery detectives are investigating the case.
