Officers arrested 21 people during a protest that wound through Downtown and ended on Capitol Hill Wednesday afternoon.
Officers escorted a group of protestors through the streets of Seattle during their permitted march which started at 2 PM. today. The group began marching at Occidental park, made their way through Downtown then turned towards Capitol Hill. As the crowd dwindled, a smaller portion of the group marched to 12 Ave. and Madison St. and stood in the intersection. The protesters remained in the intersection after officers told them to clear the road so vehicle traffic could pass. The protesters advised officers they planned on being arrested and would stay in the intersection until that happened. Officers eventually arrested 21 people in the intersection without incident.
