Detectives have closed a robbery case from June 25th after two teens were taken into custody Thursday.
Two victims were walking along the 6600 block of Rainier Ave. S. when they saw a green Ford Crown Victoria turn onto S. Holly St. The victims saw two teens exit the car and point gun at them before demanding everything they had in their pockets. The suspects had their faces covered with bandannas, but the victims both recognized the teens from school. The suspects made off with a cell phone and a small amount of cash.
A deputy working at the Juvenile Court House Thursday arrested one of the suspects when he showed up for an unrelated hearing. The 16-year-old suspect was booked into the King County Youth Service Center for investigation of robbery.
Detectives were in the area of 37 Ave. S. and S. Juneau St. Thursday morning searching for the other suspect when they spotted the 13-year-old walking down the sidewalk. The teen ran, but was taken into custody a short distance away. The teen was later booked into the King County Youth Service Center for investigation of robbery.
