Officers responded to the 6500 block of Sand Point Way last night to investigate a single robbery, but found four instead.
A man called 911 from Magnuson Park at 11 p.m. Thursday saying three teens just robbed him. He said they punched him in the face and stole his cell phone before running away through the park.
Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who described the suspects as three black males in their late teens. A second victim approached the officer and described a similar experience where the suspects demanded the victim’s belongings only to be punched and knocked to the ground when he refused. The second victim didn’t lose any belongings during the assault.
Officers continued their search for the suspects and discovered two more victims who chronicled an assault by three suspects. The female victims in this case were also struck in the head, but able to retain their belongings.
Officers called in a K9 team and the King County Guardian One helicopter, but due to the large amount of people in the area were unable to track the suspects.
Officers are now asking for people who witnessed something related to these crimes to please call (206)625-5011.
