Two teenagers were arrested Tuesday afternoon after officers found them driving around in stolen car with a stolen handgun.
Officers William Shaub and Stephen Knapp were patrolling near Wabash Ave S and S Cloverdale St around 3:45 PM when they spotted two men sitting inside a 2005 Ford Escape, reported stolen in Bellevue last week.
Police stopped the car, arrested the two men inside, and found the 19-year-old passenger, a convicted felon, was carrying a loaded handgun which had been stolen in Everett. Officers arrested him for possession of a stolen firearm and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The 19-year-old driver was arrested for possession of stolen property.
Both suspects were booked into King County Jail.
