Update: Detectives are looking for an older model Ford pick-up truck, two tone white and blue, with obvious damage to the right rear corner and tail light assembly. The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Aurora Ave N from John St. Anyone with information on a similar vehicle is asked to contact Detective Tom Bacon directly at (206) 684-8932.
A 40-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured when he was involved in a collision with a pick-up truck at Dexter Ave N and John St this morning.
Officers arrived at 7 AM and found a motorcycle down and its driver suffering from a significant injury to his leg. Medics responded and transported the motorcyclist to Harborview Medical Center.
Witnesses said the pick-up truck left the scene immediately after the collision but should have obvious damage to the rear passenger side.
The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad responded to process the scene. We will update as soon as we have more details about the suspect vehicle. If you have any information about this incident please call 911.
