Two teens were arrested Tuesday afternoon on Capitol Hill after bailing out of a stolen Jeep they had just crashed into another vehicle.
Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run just after 3:30 PM at Broadway E. and E. Thomas St. Witnesses reported three people ran from a Jeep shortly after colliding with another vehicle.
Police arrived and quickly discovered the wrecked Jeep was stolen from Kirkland four days ago.
Officers were able to catch two of the suspects that ran, a 14-year-old female and a 16 -year-old male, at 12th Ave. and Denny Way and placed them under arrest. Police are still investigating the case and are working to identify a third person who fled the scene of the crash.
The driver of the second vehicle was not seriously injured in the collision.
