A 38-year-old man was critically wounded Sunday night around 7 PM after he was beaten by another male in Victor Steinbrueck Park.
A witness saw a man choking another man on the ground in the park. The witness was able to pull the suspect off the victim but the suspect returned to the unconscious victim lying face down and stomped the back his head before picking up his upper body and slamming it into the concrete.
Seattle Fire Medics arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police are now searching for the man, described as a 40-year-old white male, six feet five inches, red-hair but balding, red beard, wearing a tan jacket, blue jeans, and tan boots.
