A 58-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck while crossing Beacon Ave Tuesday afternoon.
At 11:45 AM a vehicle turning southbound on Beacon Ave S collided with a pedestrian in the area of the crosswalk at S McClellan St.
Medics responded and the pedestrian was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. She later passed away at the hospital.
The 67-year-old driver of the involved vehicle was uninjured and is cooperating with investigators. He was evaluated at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad continue to investigate.
