A 27-year-old driver was arrested in Belltown this morning after striking four people in a hit and run.
Police were called to Wall Street and Denny Way at 1:26 AM after a driver in a white Scion reportedly struck four people and sped away. One of the victims sustained a serious head injury while another suffered a broken leg. Two others sustained bruises and scrapes in the incident.
An officers found the vehicle–with a shattered windshield and debris in its wheel wells–near Western Avenue and Wall Street and pulled in front of it to block the driver in.
Police took the 27-year-old woman into custody and found she was showing signs of intoxication. She later defecated in the back of a patrol car.
Officers booked the woman into the King County Jail for investigation of vehicular assault.
