Police Arrest Suspect in Belltown Stabbing

Police arrested a woman Sunday night in Belltown after she reportedly stabbed another woman following a heated argument over $20 and an alleged assault with a slice of pizza.

Officers responded to the 2nd Avenue and Bell Street just before 10PM after receiving a report a 37-year-old woman had been stabbed. Police learned the 36-year-old suspect had pulled out a pocket knife and swung it around, eventually stabbing the victim in her forehead.

The Seattle Fire Department responded and treated the victim at the scene.

Officers found the 36-year-old suspect at 1st  Avenue and Bell St and took her into custody. The pocket knife used in the crime was located in a storm drain nearby.

The suspect claimed she had attacked the victim after she threw a piece of pizza at her face. However, witnesses did not corroborate the suspect’s story.

The 36-year-old suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
