Man Caught On Camera Using Bank Cards Taken In Morning Robbery At Beacon Hill Home

UPDATE: Detectives arrested the 24-year-old suspect in Federal Way on Saturday, April 2nd.  He has since been interviewed by detectives.  Detectives suspect he may be involved in several other crimes as well.  This remains an on-going robbery investigation.

Seattle police are looking to identify a man seen using a bank card stolen early Friday in a robbery at a Beacon Hill home.

Shortly after 5 AM, two men reportedly crawled in an open bedroom window at a house in the 1500 block of 19th Avenue South. While inside,  they assaulted a man with a bottle and then fled with the victim’s wallet, cellphone and a half case of beer.

Officers and a K9 team searched the area, but were unable to find the men.

Police did track the victim’s cellphone to 23rd Avenue South and South Lander Street, where they found it lying in the road.

About an hour after the robbery, between  6:00 and 6:30 AM, cameras at a gas station and a bank captured a possible suspect using the victim’s debit card.

If you recognize the man in the pictures, please contact the SPD Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535.
